FLOWERS for LOVE + RESISTANCE for VALENTINE'S DAY

Happy Valentine's Day dear everyones!

Yes, it has been a while and I know we need to do some serious catching up! We will get to that. However, it is with great pleasure that I present to you :

WILDFLOWERS FOR RESISTANCE !

wild-crafted bouquets + blooming branches available for pick-up at:

COOKBOOK Market
1549 Echo Park Blvd.
8am - 8pm

- OR -

DUNE (in Atwater)
3143 Glendale Blvd.
10am - 9pm

ALL PROCEEDS will go to support the tribes at Standing Rock. In solidarity we stand together strongly. These flowers were hand-picked by me while on nature walks, purchased from farm stands from two farmer's markets that confirmed they were pesticide-free, and the blooming branches I got from my (only) trusted flower vendor at the Flower Mart. These flowers have integrity, vibrations, love, strength and most of all the power to send a message of action over words. Win-win!

From my heart to yours, Happy Valentine's Day!

xx Lili

Chamomile the sweetest

Remember in my plants anonymous post I mentioned the newest member to our farm:

Chamomile Seis Quinoa

Allow me to formally introduce you to her. Friends, let me just tell you, she is as sweet as she looks. So gentle, so spirited and so soft. When V.v. and I found her, covered in cobwebs, she was merely four weeks old and starving. After a steady diet of raw goat's milk + honey and core wet food, she is holding her own court in the house. I'll leave it at that for now . . . I mean this is a blog about wildflowers and plants, right? Soon to be TIGERS TO LILIES : plants, wildflowers and catssssss!

Tropical Heat

I've been super inspired by tropicals lately. I did not make the arrangement above but I do like it very much. Something about the tropically wild, huh?

(sorry I can't remember where I got this pic. I'd like to give credit where credit is due)

Cleome + Pop-Up!

Do you know about the cleome flower? I didn't know about them until I saw them in the fields two weeks ago. I was mesmerized! They are both tough and delicate looking, full yet airy. I am always amazed at what can thrive under the intensity of the Southern California desert sun, and just when I get to the farm and expect things to be shriveled up and yellow, I walk into a field full of blooming and thriving cleomes! You can just go ahead and move over, peony and hydrangea...

I picked a bunch of cleomes for my Pop-Up tomorrow:
1549 Echo Park Ave.
10-6

Come and get some of these wild beauties--your home needs some!

XO!
