Seu Jorge x TTL

Seu Jorge shot by David Black

I think I have mentioned to you before dear reader that I get to work with just the best people. Thank you David for asking for some flowers for this shoot. The monkey balls in the background really compliment this shot. Bravo to you! Read more about Seu here.

me at 28 weeks, photo by David Black

It's time I share with you some really, really magical and big news. Elijah and I are getting ready to welcome our newest member to the family. It has been everything I could ever imagine and all things I have never imagined! Such a miracle the beginning of life. Truly. It is bit overwhelming to write about and so I will leave you with this image that friend and photographer David Black took last week while I was working with flowers for him...

thank you so kindly David for all the light + this beautiful moment captured  xx

NIGHT BLOOMING CACTUS MANDALA / Lauren Spencer King

Night Blooming Cactus Mandala, by Lauren Spencer King

Artist/friend/collaborator Lauren Spencer King drew some really special blooming cacti that she created exclusively for Dream Collective. They are gorgeous (I can't help think how lovely an entire wall would look if it were covered with these beautiful drawings). There might be a few left so grab one while you can. What a perfect gift for yourself or for a special someone else. Beautiful work...

... and a very special birthday wish for you today ... xo

what has been going on at the atelier...

It really seems like the month of October has flown by! I certainly did a shoddy job of posting and keeping you in the loop, didn't I? But I trust that you know that it's been a busy, busy past month and a half. I thought a nice little visual recap could give you some insight as to what we have been doing at the Atelier Tigers to Lilies. I feel a lot of gratitude for all of the work that has poured in. Although it has kept me away from the computer and from most of my multimedia (hello instagram, remember me?) I certainly have felt the gratification that comes from working with my hands. At the end of the day, this is what always helps me sleep best - knowing that I have used my hands and spirit to have created something that is going to leave an imprint on someone.

You can always keep an eye on current TTL work by checking out my tumblr, tigrestolilies
xx thank you dear readers for staying with me xx

a warm welcome to Alana

...for she is the newest member to our team! Her presence alone has significantly upped the creative vibes flowing over at the atelier.

Alana: I feel so very thankful for your hard work, quick cat-like reflexes, and your morning chai teas! Thank you for being so willing to step in front of the camera at my every whim too! You're a gem.

APIECE APART x TTL

I was really pleased and really quite flattered to have been included in the new Apiece Apart journal. It is beautiful and filled with artists that I admire and appreciate, so to be included with them truly means a lot. I wrote + shot a 2-page story about the magical maranta plant (aka prayer plant). I hope that you can get your hands on a copy - it makes for a wonderful morning read over coffee and toast. Be sure to check out their blog too, notes from apart.

Thank you kindly Apiece Apart + Leigh Patterson

EVOLVE / The Ecology Center

I couldn't be more honored to be featured on the cover of Issue 10/Fall 2014 of The Ecology Center's beautifully curated eco-journal, Evolve. Seriously, thank you! Have a peek through the issue - it will tell you about the upcoming Maker's Market (that is happening this Sat) and give you a nice overview of what The Ecology Center is about. Coincidentally very  much what the spirit of TIGERS to LILIES philosophy for keeping things wild and natural is all about too.

Thank you Evan, Kristin, Ann + David
