OK, stop everything right now

That's what I just did as I marveled at Japanese artist Azuma Makoto's newest piece, titled Exobiotanica. I am already such a fan (emphasize such a fan, admirer) of Makoto's work and books, but now this. Flowers and bonsais floating through outer space. What?! Whaaaaat??! Seriously the precedent continues to be pushed. I happen to strongly agree with Makoto when he states Flowers aren't just beautiful to show on tables. Hats off to you, Mr. Makoto. I'm still in orbit with your piece for the meantime...

FLOWER MAN / Ken Hermann

Aren't these images lovely? My friend Michael passed these Ken Hermann photos along my way this morning and I found them refreshing and delightful! In other words, I had to share them with you! The rest of his body of work on his site is quite stellar too. Enjoy!

*thank you so much Michael

...and my little rising form ikebana from last week's Ohara class.

Ikebana / Flower Power

I really appreciate everything about this short clip on Ikebana. Especially the part about if you touch and feel the power of a plant, that power will make you young.

* thank you so much David for sharing this with me
