After giving some of our houseplants a water bath a couple of nights ago, I also took the time to wipe off their rather dusty leaves. It was like a leaf massage for them. When Elijah came home he mentioned how perky and happy the plants looked. I told him about their massage and he said that he thought it was really important to take the time to touch your plants. He mentioned that in the wild the wind runs through their leaves and animals rub up against them and birds fly through them. He said they might miss that when indoors, especially if they are not close to other plants. Makes sense. I really love this thought. I really love Elijah...

ReplyDeletei love what E said about the importance of touching your plants, and caring for them. it makes so much sense, as we all know they can feel us and that they react to what we say to them and around them.
i am going to be sure to do this from now on, except with my cacti! ;)
love you both, and your whole happy family!
