I always feel like I get the loveliest of commissions asked of me. These flowers were for world renown photographer Gilles Bensimon. They also happen to be one of my very favorite arrangements to date. I was deeply honored, and deeply inspired.

Watercolour / GILLES BENSIMON
![]() |
| all fujiflex prints by Gilles Bensimon |
If you're experiencing hot weather like we are here in Los Angeles, then perhaps these underwater flower prints by world renown fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon might cool you off. The photographer spent two years shooting these fresh blooms underwater, all of which he chose himself. His exhibit (2013) appropriately titled Watercolours was his first venture into fine art photography. Don't they look like watercolors or modern day representations of impressionists' paintings? So refreshing to see flowers used in this medium.
I’ve always been obsessed with water, even in the fashion pictures I’ve
done. I swim every day. I spend so much time in the water, some days
four or five hours. And I’ve also always been passionate for flowers. I
love gardens.

Michael A. Muller / Threading in the Choirs
![]() |
I so rarely like to be photographed, let alone a close-up. I really do enjoy being the one behind the lens. However, my good friend Michael A. Muller took a few shots that I happen to think capture me.
More importantly, check out Michael's beautiful eye and excellent playlists on his site Threading in the Choirs. He is one of my absolute favs - a constant source of inspiration. His photographs really speak from the heart. It's as though he captures the feeling of the moment through his lens. Shoots straight from the heart, you can feel it. You'll recognize his work too - he is quite busy shooting for every publication under the sky.
Cheers to you Michael A. Muller - keep the good vibes flowin!
(and thank you for the wodnerful pics)

| floral regalia to grace the groom |
A few outtakes from a wedding ceremony that was held in a rather dusty hillside. The marigolds were key in making a statement. Well, the marigolds and that electric pink tapestry that made the walkway! I especially liked that for this ceremony we made a floral crown for the groom (above modeled by Elijah). It was a sincere gesture for a rather shy groom and really made a quiet but radiant statement.
Per usual, couldn't have done it without the help of my lovely and skilled flower child assistant Jessica and the all around brilliant Elijah.
