Score+Solder

Look at these beautiful terrariums made by self proclaimed gypsy and magician, Matthew Cleland. Each one-of-a-kind terrarium is made to order with handmade glass and are lead free. What a whimsical touch to add a crystal pendant too, no? Pretty magical indeed.

Black Thumb

If you have a black thumb, then here is your lovely solution! Knitted terrariums & plants by Holly & Shannon! Haha! How great are these? So sweet and impossible to kill! Voila! :)

Oh, and the bottom sketches are from Holly's daily night drawings (her form of meditation). I found them very sweet and it reminded me that drawing every day is so important to keep up with. Even if it isn't perfect, draw anyway! That and by now I hope you recognize my obsession with nature & feathers and such, so I just thought I'd put that up too. Hey, are you all ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow?! I'm so excited...

Paula Hayes

Have you seen the work of Paula Hayes? She is sooo talented and makes everything from 'living' sculptures (aka terrariums & aquariums), to planters to a succession of threaded air plants to make 'living necklaces' for both you and your home! She also has created a series of beautiful silicone planters in imaginative, vibrant colors and displays them successfully both in her landscape designs and art shows. She is one cool lady! Check out her site and be ready to be blown away!

Litill

I never tire of terrariums. Ever. Look at how lovely these are from Litill. Kinda like sea- aquarium-meets-desert. Sold!

(thanks so much cheri)*

Mini Terrariums

Check out these wonderful teeny terrariums by Tortoise Loves Donkey! Saw these on Design *Sponge and it put a pretty big smile on my face. I went on their etsy site and ended up buying an air plant for $4! A little plant present in the mail can put a smile on just about anybody's face.

And if you yourself find a bunch of bottles laying around and you too want to make your own, this is for you.

AND if you have no plans this Saturday and are in the vicinity of San Juan Capistrano (you never know!) then stop by and check out the Ecology Center's awesome farm and terrarium workshop! Or simply stop by and say hi to Evan. Either way, you're in for a treat.
